RED ONE vs. Scarlet...Thoughts?

In this same dilemma.. what's holding me off is the weight and potentially needing an extremely beefy new Fluid head + tripod..

Also I wish we had some idea about how much and what the Dragon sensor will bring to the Scarlet.. :/ Agr...

In favor of the scarlet though: it's 16bits vs 12bits, and hdrx.

Specs are specs... in my experience the RED ONE is providing a cleaner image.


Boot times are lONGER but time between black shades is forever and a day on Red ONe. Scarlet boots fast but takes minute to Black shade... and frequently.

Short term Id definitely buy the Red One... and did.

If the weight is of no concern the R1, for sure.
