Red One versus Nikon D3

How do they compare?

One is a digital cinema camera, and the other a DSLR.

I also assume the D3 is a heck of a lot lighter than the Red one which would be advantageous to say... photographers.

I heard tell that the D3 uses nikon's patent for Microlenses, catching light of the off-colors from one photosite and redirecting it to the appropriate neighbor pixel, thus grabbing an extra 1.3 stops for free.

Along with phat photosites and amazingly quiet image processing you have a camera that can see in the dark. Its basically where I picture the mysterium being in a year or two. High hopes.

Maybe Red will jump in the sack with nikon.
