Red one tripod help? Feature film in ny

Hi guys and gals,

We are a feature film production shooting in NYC this September into October. We were lucky enough to be able to get a great deal on a RED ONE rental. The production crew is very excited.

We have an amazing group of talents from MTV producers to Oliver Stone Production Designer, all working for very little to make a great film in NY.

We are going to purchase a matte box and follow focus but are really needing help with a decent fluid head tripod. Our budget is very low and we would be very interested in having an AC come on board the production to make a great film who also may have a tripod that the production can use. Of course we are fully insured and because you will be our AC, you'd be handeling the equipment.

The position would actually be a 2nd AC and we don't have any funds to pay for such a position on such a small feature but the experience would be grand.

If anyone is interested, please let me know. As well, if you have a matte box, follow focus and tripod that you'd be willing to rent for $1K we would offer credit and you can still be an AC.

Any help on these pieces would be greatly appreciated. We are shooting September 11 to October 9.

A couple of things here...

1> Real name -- you were told to do it when you registered, try again.

2> You're renting a camera, but are going to buy a mattebox and follow focus???

3> Willing to pay $1K to rent a tripod, if the tripod brings a competent AC with it? Or vice versa, I guess..

4> Are you sure you got a great deal on a RED One rental? Anyone worth renting from can supply all this other gear as part of a rental package.

Seems odd that a production with a "low budget" would buy a follow focus and mattebox, when you could easily rent those items.
