So I got the ET topside combo w/ 15mm rods and now I need a way to mount the battery plate with the top rails. Anyone know of a similar mounting option similar to the Red Quick Plate or Cradle? Been scavenging for ways to mount it and all i found was the ET Speedy.

Any advise appreciated, thanks!

Edit: using IDX battery plate.

this actually looks pretty good, need to confirm if it will mount directly to the ET top mount or the cheese plate.

Leo, what material is that made from.

Couldn't tell you exactly, but it looks and feel like a robust aluminium.

Jett, good point about 15mm being spaced further apart, but Im sure I can jimmy something together with it. I'll make it work! I have to, as Im broke from the Element technica sale!

That's good enough for me. I couldn't tell if it was plastic from the eBay pic.

It's probably 15mm lightweight video standard instead of 15mm studio standard but the actual rods are the same size AFAIK. Also I think that cheeseplate claims to support 19mm too so I'm guessing the plate itself must be big enough area wise. I guess you could have trouble with hole spacing tho. One thing you could try is maybe getting 4 of these cheap mini clamps:

Tho I suggest you just get 2 to start with to test my theory but they have the advantage that you can set them any distance apart (at the expense of some stability I expect).

I too have overspent my budget on this camera. But I decided not to cheap out on accessories. The Battery slide from woodencamera is the perfect solution for me. Just need to wait for my next paycheck.

me too, I was all satisfied with my 'hobo' set-up, but then the ET sale allowed me to grab a few quality extras that I thought were too good to miss.

I picked up the Top Side Combo and the AWESOME Light Weight 15mm Bracket. My rig is almost complete, just need the battery slide and a WC top handle.
