Good day , i need 1 super function for Red One :) .
I need to turn on camera remoter , just i will put camera on
very high position and then i need to turn in on When it will be nice
sun . Problem is that i can not provide DC power on top , sow i need
to manage power off 1 battery .
And then turn in Off . I now that is looks funny but may be somebody nows something about it .
Thanks.

To turn the camera on or off, you will need something like a solenoid or air switch to push the power button. The ViewFactor Impero controller that Larry linked will provide various camera controls via motors, etc.. But it's not available yet (soon) and it will probably take a few weeks to fill the existing orders. One of the three motors controlled by the Impero could probably be rigged up to handle power toggling... But I would rather use that controller for Focus, Iris, Zoom and do a separate remote solenoid switch for power.

As far as I know, the way the RED One's power switch works, the power button must be physically pressed. You won't get the camera to power on by sending it an electronic signal, if that's what you are hoping.

Yes, I was suggesting the Impero to start/stop the camera in conjunction with the R/C airplane servo to press the power button. Like Jeff says, it may be a bit of a wait for the Impero.

You can also make one that will go off the 4 pin lemo on the back, but it will just roll and stop. For actual camera power on and off hopefully someone will get that sdk and make something similar to the rcu from arri, but over usb.

No camera control functions in the SDK yet...

Jim just mentioned remote on/off via GPIO on the build 17 thread... if thats the case then you could probably use the Origo to turn it on and off. Impero will be out shortly and will be able to control that as well.

No mention of power-on. But it seems that shutting down the camera is possible via GPIO in build 17.
