  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

When working with a Rented RED One, we keep having the same issue, we shoot 4 day blocks of a tv show. On the 1st day everything is fine, then about halfway through the second day of shooting we run into this issue that persists until it is returned to the rental house who continually claim to fix it:

The camera will not boot if the SSD or a TC Jam Box is plugged in the side. These two things must be removed for the camera to boot with freezing.

What could cause this?
