Red One MX SDI OUT

Hello, I just recently purchased a Red One MX(second hand)

I'm trying to figure out how to preview live(720)

I have a dinf to bnc cable coming from the preview port

should the camera be set to a certain mode to activate this?

I just have the camera no evf

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Can you use HDMI?

If you aren't getting a signal from your SDI or HDMI ports, try toggling this in the menu using the rear LCD to navigate:

System > Monitor > Preview > Video [720p]

I think it also depends on the monitor (unless you’re using the red monitor). I couldn’t use HDMI out to one of my feelworld monitors. It also didn’t work on my LG television screen (for testing purposes haha). But when I used my computer screen as a monitor, it worked perfectly fine! Try a few different mediums before calling it quits!
