Red has always been grateful of their supporters. The different stages of the Epic are solid proof. The latest red one mx pricing is just another facet of that. It ensures red one owners weren't left out in the cold, even if they couldn't afford anything else beyond a sensor upgrade. Admittedly, it took a long while before I could even get a red one. (As you can see from my red# lol) but even I got the discount. And for that, I'd just like to say thanks to the guys at Red.

I think RED ONE and Epic can't exist together. OR RED ONE OR EPIC!
Because the approximately the same price with the best characteristics at Epic!
So RED ONE body - 25K! Epic body - 28K!
Accessories for both (Red drive, batterry ets) about 10K!
Lens for both for example 18-55 is about 10K!
So we have the ready to shoot package:
RED ONE - 25K (body) + 10K (accessories) +10K Lens = about 45K
EPIC - 28K (body) + 10K (accessories) +10K Lens = about 48K
Who will buy OPEL VECTRA for 45K if he can buy BMW X5 for 48K!

So I think after Epic will be realesed RED ONE will be take out of production as M-sensor after realesed MX-sensor!

As has already been discussed, Epic will require a lot more accessories then an R1MX. $28k is brain only.

Correct, as the currently available CF Module is an additional $500 making the MX R1 $25,500, the SSD 1.8 Module been $1,500 will make the R1 MX $26,500, if ordered strait form Red with that option, when available, but for all of the rest with already the CF Module, will just be an additional $1,500, and keep the CF Module as an additional accessory to be used as needed.
