If I film with Red One(MX sensor) and Scarlet Dragon on same lens( e.g. 50mm) in 4K in a scene of conversation, so I would like to get the same frame and similar depth of field with two cameras filming together, but I'm not sure if they can be identical somehow, since

Red One 4K 16:9 pixel : 4096 x 2304 Frame Dimension: 22.12 x 12.43 mm

Scarlet Dragon (4K) pixel : 4096 x 2160 Frame Dimension: 20.47 x 10. 8 mm

But if I film with 5K in scarlet dragon,

the pixel is 5700 x 2700, I assume I can crop it to the desired pixel like Red One 4K, but will the depth of field different between the Red One 4K and Scarlet Dragon 5K even I crop 5K to 4K ?

So, if I film with two cameras and to match the shots, for Scarlet Dragon 5K, do I have to cover the crop area with tape on the monitor to estimate the cropped frame ?

Hope someone can give me advice, thank you.

The difference between 4096x2304 and 4096x2160 isn't that much from a DOF standpoint (actually it's pretty much the same).

BUT, to answer your question, I think what you're looking for is 4KHD (or UHD), which is 3840x2160 and the UHD television standard, and all cameras you mentioned support that (conversely, if you've already shot at mixed resolutions, it'd be the lowest common denominator that you'd crop/supersample to, and generally what your timeline would be set at for a UHD finish).

Not that I think you could tell, but the also note that the lower compression ratio that the R1 supports is ~7.5:1 (RC42), whereas Scarlet is 6:1 (but can be set to 8:1, which is roughly 7.5:1).

Truth be told, they'll match just fine (Scarlet-X and R1mx).

Been grading some rushes we shot with an Epic dragon and Scarlet MX and your matching issue is not likely to be the resolution and depth of field but the colour science. Some shots match well but others are a struggle. Skintones are quite different on the cameras. A proffessional colourist could probably get a better match than me.
