How low can you go?
How low can you go?
I agree completely. You are correct in every respect.
A famous old rental guy called Henry Chrosciki who owned and operated Technovision based in Rome some 25 years ago said. "Tony; Producers in Rome pay nothing for equipment as competition is too great. Mark my words it will happen in London before a few years pass"" Well he was correct! The return on kit charges has gone down and down in those years between. Now guys are advertiseing how cheap they can go out for a day.
Its not a matter of business but of not thinking it through before posting.
Sorry Sean, you are out of order on this one.

I totally agree with Tony and Robert,
I'm all for a free market but moving between territories and undercutting is a little bit of a piss take no? I know its a tough market at the moment and January is always a bit slow, but surely you can see that this sort of behavior is damaging to our industry as a whole?
Unfortunately due to the massive uptake on the red of owner operators (myself included) I see this sort of behavior becoming a lot more common. People appear to be willing to work for anything in order to get back their investment. I understand completely, but it's simply no good for the industry. I think a little self restraint in people lowering rates would certainly be better for us all in the long run.
When the Scarlet hits town I see this situation getting even worse......
