  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED-One connected to a TV ??

THis is incredibly simple. Get a 42" LCD or plasma for like $500 and use HDMI. Or, if you want to spend less, get a 24" DVI/HDMI monitor for $180.

If you want to use HD-SDI be prepared to pay for it. If you don't, use HDMI. I use it every day with the Red on computer monitors as well as 60" plasmas and it works 100% of the time.

Easy and cost effective.

Why not rent a Decimator? Local rental houses rent this box for, like, $25 a day. Done.

Yeah, I was responding to the OP's desire to go to an (SD) CRT TV, and his aversion to the purchase price of a Decimator. Funny you should post your link, though...I was actually researching the Brite-view tonight and had been reading about your power solutions. Just PM'd you.
