  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

And yes, it does boot up faster! About 30 seconds according to my timer! Awesome! thank you!

Edit: should clarify, 30 seconds faster. Takes approx. 1 min to boot now.
 
Interesting.... Dennis are you on M or MX? I am on M and got it at 60 seconds on the button.
 
SO being a brand new used red one mx..with 320 drive.......I HAVE REGISTERED with RED AND HOW DO i upgrade this new firmware and what will it do for my red one mx system.thanks
 
What's the benefit of changing or having the latest REDColor in the camera ? Aren't these just metadata ? Can't I change the footage later in RedCine-X ?

I'm trying to figure it out if I will have an advantage updating to this firmware.

It's just metadata indeed, but it's still nice to be able to view the latest in camera.
Especially useful when you're shooting with an Epic and a Red One MX, it helps having the same color science on both to be able to match them...
