Hi All,

I started collecting some R1's to my red collection last year and I came across this one that had the name "Bombay" instead of a serial number, when i looked up the hours. The firmware shows the year 2007. This looks to be one of the original beta models named after various cities and was used on one of Steven Soderbergs early films shot on red.
Anyone know what a camera of this vintage would be worth? I'll post some pics soon, the body looks brand spanking new.
I was just curious to see if anyone could shed more light on this camera.

There was another similar post a while ago (regarding one of the early Beta R1's)... it was deleted pretty quickly, I assume RED themselves contacted the OP. It'll be interesting to see how long this thread stays active :)

Take it to Antiques Road Show. '-)

Don't get too excited, folks. The one and only Bombay is safely tucked away in our vault. Brian, feel free to PM me.

I had bought the camera sight unseen and was surprised to see this, when I was looking for the hours. Overall, I was just curious to do some digging and see what comes up
