Mike Seymour from FXPHD (and RedCentre Podcast) is blogging from China this week and been shooting with Build 16 on the great wall, (yes the panorama below is from the RED) is this a first? Maybe not but its still very cool. Watch the blog for further updates too...and try not to get arrested Mike!

Cocktails on the great wall!...

Cocktails on the great wall!...

Mike Seymour is back from shooting slow mo Kung Fu in China. and possibly the first RED shoot (and cocktails) on the great wall! so we just posted RED Centre Episode 9 ... (grab 'ep9r' as ep 9 had some glitches)

This week the attention is on Shutters and shutter issues, we interview DOP Peter Holland from "The nothing men' and talk to Toyko-based Red owner Paul Leeming in 'The Red Room'.

As always please subscribe to the feed and Mike and I would love to hear any feedback, comments, story suggestions and constructive criticism via red@fxguide.com as we'd love to make the podcast work for you.
Cheers
Jas & Mike

Hi Jason,

the great irony is I think I was on the Great Wall the same day as you guys!! I just came back from shooting a commercial in Mongolia and Beijing. I didn't lug Red #378 up the Great Wall though as I was on a guided tour that was moving pretty quickly and I was without any other crew. My DSLR had to suffice this time.

Cheers for the Podcast plug too. Good stuff!

Thanks Jason, Mike and Paul--another top episode.

Paul--the pic of the yurts looks like the rich neighbours we never saw in Cave of the Yellow Dog! Love your Japonica stills too (and I empathise with your Red Centre phrase "4K future proofing").

Look forward to more from you all.

Just caught up with this, thanks for sharing.

I'm headed for Beijing on Saturday for the Olympics, not as a videographer, but proud uncle of an athelete (Andrea Nott, Synchronized Swimming).
Wishing I already had a RED to take to the wall and everywhere else. FX1 will have to do for this trip.

Any other RED Users going?
