It's interesting that threads like this still pop up.

Yes - the $22,500 camera is still better than the $2,500 camera. No surprises there. And I bet it is also noticeably better than a $500 camera, a $4,000 camera, a $10,000 camera, and a $15,000 camera. It is also better than security cameras, cell phone cameras, webcams, and VHS camcorders.

More importantly, however, it looks as good as or better than $80,000, $100,000 and $200,000 cameras. That's what I care about. :beer:

Yes- post like this will unfortunately continue to pop up, justifiably so. This is Reduser.net, a lot of people with various levels of curiosity log on here to learn and discuss the functional abilities of a Red.
But Michael I do agree with you and understand where you are coming from. Some comparisons don't really help. But amongst Indie filmmakers, these two cameras are the most discussed. And they are the two including the 7D you and I have either used or considered using in the last couple of weeks. I call the the interim cams until the Epic and Alexa are released.
