SO I have a redmote and trying to update it but the upgrade software can't find it. I am on 3.1.8 and using the new upgrade software download from red.com today. I followed the instruction telling me to change my network settings and manually enterd the info and it still can't find the redmote. Any help? Do I need the old redmote upgrade? Where can i find it?

Just started to work.

Im having this issue now with the REDMOTE.

I disabled Wifi on both ends and I cant get the Upgrade Utility app to see my REDMOTE.

I can see the unit in the Mac network prefs.

Anyone know of a fix?

I guess I can try on a PC next.

which camera-firmware are you on? If it's a newer one you can go the route of updating it through your camera -> no PC needed on this route and thus no problems with your network-settings. It just takes (way) longer (about 30 to max. 40 minutes) so it's suggested to run it on power plug and not on battery - but other then that; it works…

I do not remember from which build - for for some time now you can also update the REDMOTE by directly attaching it to the brain of an updated (and powered up) camera. The only downside of this is that for some to-us-unknown reason this process takes about 30 min...

I will give that a try do you have link for that?

In my Scarlet at Pairing I get the "Incompatibble REDmote" pop-up.

Running 4.0.10.

this option should be found under "settings" -> "maintenance" if I remember it correctly (no access to the camera right now)… another thing I found to be the case; the update seems to be easier or better working on Windows then on Mac if you go the PC route…
