We have been having an issue here with our RED Monitor. Over the last couple of weeks, the monitor has been producing a pronounced blue noise over the image on LCD screen at all times that the camera is powered on. Sometimes this noise will become a yellow color depending on exposure (yellow if highlights are clipped, blue if under or properly exposed). Initially, perhaps out of wishful thinking, we assumed it must be a problem with the red monitor cord. However, we have tried a number of cords and seen the exact same results. We've restored factory settings, re-calibrated the camera and updated firmware all to no avail.
The touchscreen still works fine for navigating the camera's menus. However, telling exposure (without using the histogram) or gauging color in the shot using the LCD has become a guessing game. Has anyone seen this type of issue before? Any info on whether or not there is a fix that we can try in-house would be appreciated - though this sadly feels like it is almost certainly a hardware problem with the monitor.
