Red mini-mag reader transfer speed

Hey everyone!

I'm new to red and just shot for the first time. Copying about 90gb from my 240gb card using the standard red station mini mag to an external SSD via my Mac pro (trashcan) is taking a little over 30 minutes. Is this normal speed or is it going slow?

The SSD and reader are connected over USB 3. The SSD got 480mb/s write speed using black magic speed test and I just copied about 190gb from another SSD onto the same drive in 8 minutes.

240gb should give you about 45 min transfer time on usb3 with WD my passport disk.
