Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but when it comes to industry publications here in the UK (some of them with European distribution), such as Iris magazine and others, they go quiet when it comes to talking RED. I had a chat with some one recently who said these magazines are more focused in products aimed at broadcasting as opposed to cinema, yet they do provide considerable amount of ink to single-sensor cameras. My opinion here, but I believe that some of these people may be slightly biased towards Sony, Canon, Alexas, etc for commercial reasons, personal gain or otherwise (controversial, I know...)

Back to my point: In the UK and Europe there has been a noticeable growth of people using RED products, both by owning the thing (I bought my first RED Scarlet X last November 24 hours after launch) or renting it.

I would love to see a regular magazine or e-magazine strengthening the RED argument on a more regular basis. Even if the magazine is unashamedly called "RED Matters".

It would be good to know what others think.

RED don't have resellers and do almost zero traditional print advertising, so what's in it for these magazines? Very little, so very little is said ;)

Of course John, that is where the magazines revenue comes from. But it would be good to have a regular compilation of Red specific articles and there is sooo much to talk about, both coming from Red directly and also from us the community.

I don't always have the time to go to Red.com website and browse their news section, or to google to see what's out there in the grapevine. I also recognise the value of Reduser as a resource for information, but there is a certain amount of pleasure one draws from reading something that has been prepared/compiled by the masters themselves.

Red could also sell advertising on it, to companies that sell accessories and other stuff. It is obvious there is a community here hungry for both gear and creativity.

Anyway, just feels like something is missing.
