RED MAG 1.8" Reader Won't Stay Mounted While Copying Footage

Has anyone else had an issue with the RED MAG SSD 1.8" USB 3 reader not staying mounted while off loading footage?
Seems to eject itself randomly. On Mac OSX. The only way to fix it is reboot, then start again, or continue off where it lets off, and hope it makes it.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thank you,

Currently on a shoot and this is a problem as I cant clear cards to keep shooting in reasonable time

try using the fire 800 port, the usb3 doesn't work on my reader anymore and had to get a firewire800 to usb adapter to transfer
