  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED Macro lens?

Century optics made them- i can't find these on their website..

If you need really really really ghetto options then just use your camera with a longer lens, and take a fast normal lens, and hold it in front of the long lens reversed(the same trick as already mentioned really). Really light photo lens you can even gaffer tape on. If the glass is spotless clean you can get really nice results. The dof is insanely thin tho.

Note: this only works if the front element of the taking lens can get close enough to the other lens - if there's a big cowl (such as on Red Pro Primes, for example) it won't work.

Id buy a Contax Zeiss 100mm or 60mm macro or possibly a Leica 100mm or 60mm (but not 1:1 without a convertor) and Allstar A mount.
