All of the sudden when I boot up my camera Build 30.5 the RED Logo has no color, is gray and the LCD monitor colors are off.

It was working just fine but all of the sudden it's not.

The check boxes are also Black and can't be seen well.

Anyone help me reset this back to normal or give me an answer as to how to get my color back in the LCD?

Thanks in advance,

Monitor cable broke/bad connection?
Reinstall firmware?

Never heard about it before, had discoloration in monitor due to bad cable though.

It's because you're living in 1904, use the time machine and come to 2010 if you'd like to see it in color.

Trying another cable next, reinstalled the firmware, doing black shading now.

Thank you for your helpful comments....any help is appreciated.

Hi Frazier, try posting a suport ticket at http://www.red.com/support they will get back to you a lot sooner than here on the forums.

Isn't there a greyscale viewing option somewhere in the menus? If so and it somehow got checked, the re-installing of the software should reset it to redcolor or whatever the default is.

Short in the cable

Short in the cable

Tried the greyscale but that wasn't it.

Did figure out the problem, guess what it was, the monitor cable, simple.... tried unplugging it and plugging back in, didn't figure it would just quit working but it did.

has a short...flickers on and off when moved around.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Thanks for sharing the problem and solution. Could save some time if the same happens to one of us.
