Trying to kill some time until my order will be allocated, I found this link when doing my ritual coffee-in-the-morning and a recent google search on RED scarlet:

I believe that is the proprietary wifi protocol that the REDMOTE transmits over

I believe you would be correct in believing that.

Yeah this is supposed to be mounted to the side of the "v duct" which will be an extension to the cooling system but will cover the antennae that's already on your scarlet or epic. So this is what will enable you to still have that antennae for your redmote.
