So I rent out my RED ONE MX for a week long shoot (yes people still rent those). The guy texts me letting my know he somehow broke one of the LEMO cables so he can't use the monitor. I suggested he use the Viewfinder or an HDMI monitor. He does. Upon return I find that no matter the cable the LCD just lights up to a black screen, it seems to be broken. The next day I find that the Viewfinder is also no longer functioning properly and is showing me an "EVF not selected V.80821b" message on a black screen. I've seen the message before on startup but it would eventually show the normal screen, now it just sits there. I have tried doing the factory resent on it but nothing works. Does anyone know what is going on? Does red still service red ones? Its the weekend and I was hoping someone out there had a solution. Thanks :crying:

Have you tryed to refresh the firmwire?. It also can that the broken cable killed your output!

I will try refreshing the firmware. I really hope it's not physically damaged.
