I was a little disappointed when I realized that I had ranked the Komodo in last place. But this is some pretty tough company.

I think the dynamic range advantage of the Arri is pretty obvious here. But more than that... and it’s difficult to see in a still image, is the more organic feel of the Arri footage. Mind you, I’m not suggesting that the Komodo is bad, but in this instance it feels more “digital“ to me.

I recently saw the below video that was shot using the Komodo... and it appears much more “organic”... so the capability is certainly there:

In the Alexa plus, you can still see the bubbles in this glass ornament. It's completely white in the Komodo footage, but that could be the slight difference in lighting between the two scenes. In the video you posted maybe it had a different IPP2 Output Transform Luminance Curve and Highlight Roll-Off Applied. I have also seen a lot of komodo users use a 1/8 Black Mist Filter to get a more filmic/Organic looking result.
