How would you adjust lighting when filming a street like that? It's natural street lights and you can't open the aperture more. You get the most balanced exposure by checking the stoplights and exposing for RAW, but there's nothing strange about shooting in higher ISO during nighttime in order to manage an exposure that looks good since you can't really get more light onto the sensor anyway.

Hey, from what I understand with the Komodo so far is that you can adjust the ISO in post, I have done it. I asked the question earlier about this and the consensus was that if I shot that at ISO 800 and reset the ISO in post in Resolve to say 12000, or the max, it wound look pretty much the same as setting it to ISO 12000 while on location shooting. I haven't tested it but other people chimed in saying that it would be pretty much the same.

Guys,

I just wanted to make something clear. This thread is for anyone , not just myself, who wants to post great sample footage either of their own or from somewhere else of the Red Komodo. I just wanted to make that crystal clear.

Yes !... But !... You are so damn quick !!! :p

Bastien,

HaHaHaHaHaHa. I think sometimes I'm a little slow, I'll find things that have been out for days and sometimes a week. I try to find the best representations of Red Komodo footage that I can. Due to the current lack of availability of the Komodo for owners to judge from their own experience with the camera, the next best thing is to show what other individuals who do have the camera and with different experiences levels and talents are doing with it.

Ketch,

I appreciate that very much man! I really was never interested in joining Facebook or any other Social media platform, but give me a little time to think about doing that and I thank you for making the suggestion!

If you had to pick 3 of the best videos with the komodo which one would it be ? We kinda see all sorts, and some don't make you want to buy it ^^
The best one to me is the one from juan melara

I feel the same as you ;)

I had deleted all Social Media Platforms, and reopened them I don't even know why.
But I don't post anything at all on my Facebook personal page, I only participate in this particular Group ;)

Thibault,

Can I choose 5? Juan's is one of the 5. Let me gather the Other 4 and I'll post back.

Ketch,

I think some people use Social Media platforms as they were, I think, originally intended for maybe just interacting with close family and friends who may live far away from them. Others use it to simply bring attention to themselves, I don't mean people who are promoting their projects, services, etc.

I mean those people whose only reason for being on Social Media is to bring attention to their looks, body, success and just how important they want you to believe everyone else thinks they are and how important they should be to you.

Those people make me " throw up in my mouth" a little.

My additional 5 ( sorry, I know I said 4)

This shows the the low light capabilities of the Komodo with just the illumination from the fire.

I think this video shows how well the Komodo looks at night when the scene has the appropriate amount of lighting.

I like the look of the Canon FD lenses in this one even though it looks like the video was a little over sharpened.

This video shows how well the Komodo looks in available lighting, even though it might have been supplemented with some additional fill lightning.

Besides for the obvious reasons, it really does show how far Red cameras have come from dealing with mixed lighting and especially those fluorescent colored lighting. I remember seeing how the Red Helium responded in a similar lighting situation, well.........
