Today when I tried to make sure everything was fine for a shoot, My Komodo gave me a warning that the card I am using is unsupported media, this was the Red Cfast 2.0 cards that I have used with no problems in the past so it was quite surprising. It prompted me to secure format the card which I did, however, the format failed and now my card is not being recognised by any of my computers. Can't even find the drive on disk utility.

Anyone gone through this issue and have any ideas on how I can resolve it?

Komodo-X here Angelbird 1.3T failed (the second one) and is dead. After I shot with it. I unmounted it and tried to mount it on the card reader and it didn't appear. Mounted it on camera and it shows "no media"... It happend to me twice with 1.33TB cards. Never with the normal 1TB cards.

Does it give the unsupported media message as well?

Hey did you ever get anywhere with this? This just happened to me today. Two Red CFast 2.0 cards both no longer recognized by anything after the Komodo asked me to format it

i had 2x Red 660gb High Endurancec cards fail on me on the same day last month in september.
i couldn't fathom that happening so i actually sent in my Raptor brain to be repaired and they gave it a clean bill of health.

Red replaced both cards, no questions asked when i mailed them in.
these angelbird cards are absolute trash... but when i tried the Lexars last year they were overheating constantly.

I’ve been using a pair of Sandisk 256s and a Unitek reader for a couple years without issue. As of Sonoma everytime I put the cards back in the cam the files are corrupt and I get the repair dialog. Unsettling behavior for certain, and it’s surely OS related.

Good Luck
