Hi all,
The latest news is..
Mr. Hatem Ali (syrian director) is shooting the first middle eastern feature film with Red camera, with the DOP Mohammad Maghrawi and post production supervisor/editor Rauf Zaza.
I hope there you could find the attachment file.

this attachment is raw footage converted by FCP, shot with Color space Rec 709.

if you have any ideas, opinions, hints about the color space I'll appreciate it.

I'll upload more footage, but guys I need your professional opinion here..

edited: was a bit unclear.

first of all, congrats on being part of the first middle eastern movie with a red one camera.
aside from the look or ur intentions for the scene,

u have to have a light balance throughout ur frame, as well as not having any objects between the foreground and background.

setting up the light, the use of soft lights, reflectors and diffusers would be a nice idea.
since it's a big closed set, u can easily use multi-light points.

using filters on the camera would be a good idea as well.

excellent still!

love the shadows on the guy to the right
very nice color palette
it all works
well I have no clue what is going on, but I feel I do and it all seems perfect
not sure I'd change the grading composition or lighting at all if you had the chance

very good
I'm in Syria too , really good shadow on man on the right
but you should make the light more stronger on the background to separate it from foreground

I wouldn't change a thing. I love the composition, the grey colours and the mood they create along with the lighting. Looks very 'film' like. Haluwe.

Congratulation on the feature film, however, a few feature films have been shot already with red cameras here in Israel.
(Don't want to be too political but Israel is in the Middle East)
Would love one day to have the option of backing up each other on a Red One camera production.
As far as I concern Mr. Hatem Ali is welcome any time

I think it looks fantastic, i love the washed out pallet , really brings the emotion out in the shot, congrats and great job.

Salaam. Very elegant composition, all seems good. As was stated before, we don't have the intention of the scene, so hard to suggest... but perhaps a touch, just a brush-stroke of light to the eyes of the man (ill-hurting?) in the foreground might be good... (depending, of course, on the dramatic context)-- thanks for sharing...

Hi guys, this film is old news, it's finished and now ready to be printed, we are at color correction for our new Musical Film, i'll attach some new photos, from the 1st one called (THE LONG NIGHT), and the musical is called (Cileena).

Hi Guys
this is some final CC of (THE LONG NIGHT) film shots, your opinions are always welcome.
we have to finish 10 films @ 2009 as I wish, so hang on people, we are gonna fly :)

Looks great. Thanks for posting the images. If I may ask, what lenses were used?

Also, good luck with your 2009 shooting schedule. Sounds busy. Looking forward to seeing footage and images from those 10 projects.
