  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey Albert,

Just Posted a request for RED rental in Poland on another section...should have looked around properly!!!

I am looking into renting a RED later on this year. Need to shoot a few scenes for a feature film that is in development in order to get investor interest.

Will be shooting in and around Gdansk and Olsztyn. I'm from the UK but have connections and friends in Poland.

Whats the general ballpark rental for three days on a RED production package (not including RED-DRIVE OR CF CARDS)?

Over in the UK its around £500 p/day with lenses.

Hi all! Just discovered Krakow! Wow! Anyone ever need a Red MX package in Poland let me know, I'm just a couple of hours away in Paris!

I'm now planning to shoot a feature on the cheap here at some point, it's too gorgeous!

Hey guys! We just wanted to let everyone know about a great experience we had a few weeks ago shooting in Poland. You all know how stressful it can be shooting out of town/overseas and having to rely on people you haven’t met. Well this is one time where we really lucked out!

When the job was awarded we looked on this forum and found Jakub Burakiewicz at Koi Studio in Warsaw. From the moment we contacted him, he was one of the most helpful and pleasant people we’ve ever dealt with in this industry. He rolled with us through a difficult preproduction process (clients changing their minds/plans/dates/requirements) and helped us solve problem after problem and put out fire after fire.

He got us a Scarlet camera package, lights and a crew (AC and gaffer) and all were top notch. He even helped us line up transportation for the job at the eleventh hour (and I do mean the last minute!) when the clients’ arrangements fell through!

He had the crew, equipment and transportation meet us at the airport in Krakow and drive with us 5 hours east. We shot for four days in a demanding, run and gun documentary style and everything went without a hitch (except the airline lost our luggage!)

From our first contact, Jakub was always quick to respond, knowledgeable about gear and production, and eager to help. His pricing was completely fair and he worked within our budgetary constraints.

We could go on and on but we really just want to say that if you have a shoot coming up anywhere in Poland (and probably in the surrounding countries as well), Jakub is your guy. You’d be foolish not to check in with him and see in what ways he can help you.

Jakub, thank you , thank you, thank you! We’re in the middle of editing and the footage looks great! We’ve got our fingers crossed that we’ll land another shoot in Poland and get to work with you again.
