Any Red shooters in the Mumbai, India area? I will be shooting a film there early next year and would be interested to find some other Red owners.

I'll be a red owner in Pakistan right next door. You can thank me for not helping!

I get it now. It sounded strange and I guess I needed your explanation. It´s a shame for people not being able to travel freely esp. for us colleagues ...

Thanks for the responses. Hopefully I will have my camera by then, but you never know. Either way, meeting some other Red users in the area would be good when the time comes (feb/march).

I'm not aware of any travel restrictions between India and Pakistan..are there any? Pakistani singers and comedians appear on Indian TV all the time so what stops a Pakistani cameraman from coming to India?

Not many people get a visa to travel across, you need to have a sponsor in India. I'm opening a Production House with 2 Red ones and 5 HVX200's in Pakistan, hopefully restrictions will loosen up and more artists and technicians will be able to travel across, we could certainly learn from Bollywood. I believe you have your link for the red above this post so sorry for the impertinence.

I am sure the learning process can be both ways and good luck with your production house.

OT: My grandparents always talked fondly about Sindh in Pakistan. That is where we are from originally before the partition happened.

Any Bollywood films in the pipeline for RED?

Let us get a Red Group going for India.

It would be nice to exchange notes with the unique challenges that our industry throws at us.
