  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

i'm going to berlin next year, to study photo (cine). does anyone knows any school that have RED's class? or any company that have some period of training?
by the way, i'm taking deutsch classes now, so i hope be able to communicate in Deutsch next year.

I'm not sure if this is the best forum to ask, but...

Is there a German equivalent to Talent Circle or Shooting People?

I am hoping to be filming an independant short in Germany (current locations planned are: Schierke, Harz, Reichenbach, Neustadt (Vogtland)) in Jan.

I am looking for 2 German speaking actors, and some crew.

Also, where is the best place for me to rent lighting and greenscreen? Leipzig I would guess.

Bin gerade in München. Falls es hier andere Reduser gibt, vielleicht könnten wir uns Dienstag abends in Schwabing treffen, ca. 20.00h? Würde gerne hören, wie es für Kameramänner hier und im Rest Deutschlands ausschaut. Bin tagsüber auf Workshop bei der Konkurrenz…
 
Ich bin in Innsbruck. Knapp zwei Autostunden von München. Vielleicht schaust du das nächste Mal in den Bergen vorbei.
 
Österreich ist natürlich sehr verführerisch, keiner spricht so schönes Deutsch wie dort ;)

Und Berlin ist meine Lieblingshauptstadt, hab ja selbst dort 5 schöne Jahre gewohnt.

Nächsten Dienstag bin ich in Griesheim bei Darmstad. Da vielleicht?

I hope this is the correct way of posting a new RED User in Germany. We have a EPIC running since about 2 weeks and use it mainly for our own productions. Ted Schilowitz is going to attend Digitale Cinematographie 2012 in Munich on July 5th and 6th and will also give a speech at Munich Film Festival on July 4th.

Seems like I can make it to Digitale Cinematographie on Friday...
No chance to watch all the stuff that's going on at just one day but I'm very keen on the Infrared-ND filter and the DIT workshop...
The rest (Ted-talk, 4K screenings) will be a nice topping if I can make it - it's my first time there, no clue how crowded it will be.
