Mr Glory! Awesome.

I think the Pentagon should put aside 1/100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000th of their budget and send him out shooting fulltime. :)

Ha! Yeah the interest has definitely peaked just recently:

Here's an interview by Jason Wingrove at FXGuide in the most recent REDCentre episode #015: http://www.fxguide.com/redcentre

High Definition picked up the story earlier: http://definitionmagazine.com/issue_pdfs/def31/index.htm

And Videography (Aug08), DV (Sep08), and Government Video (Aug08) magazines ran variations of Lisa Horan's article linked in the OP.

Keep fingers crossed.

P.S.
If anyone is around the Vegas area on the 4th of October with an 18-50 lens, I'll be making a presentation to the International Combat Camera Association with the footage and discussion on shooting this quality overseas. I am bringing the RED and would like to borrow a local RED 18-50 lens to show it in the most cost effective setup. It's in the morning for just an hour (I fly back that afternoon). If you're around and interested please PM me.

I always love seeing this photo...two of my favorite things, RED cameras and M4s.

The M4 is nice. But my eye's on the Mini Gun . . . . I've got that lens too (Ang 20-120); it's big and old, but works great.
