  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED in Chicago

Have you been shooting? What's the deal... Spill! Somehow knowing theyre starting to trickle into the Midwest is exciting...weird huh?
 
We shot a bunch of stuff last weekend downtown Champaign. It looks incredible. I'm pretty much in love with this thing!! We just got the Angenieux yesterday so I haven't had a chance to really play with it, but it's a big sucker. Definitely feels vintage.
 
Got my first one Friday, and started shooting yesterday and today. Kinda a tight squeeze, but it'll break us in.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!!

I'm liking the 15-50 and the 300 better than I was expecting--recent pooh pooing got me worried a bit, but so far I am loving the build quality, the handling, and the look (of the image). First impressions, so far, but . . . niiiiice.
 
did you guys see someone is looking to rent in Chi in March? Chevy the threads if youre interested.
 
Hey guys, I recently moved to the city... I also recently placed a RED One Reservation. I wanted to see if anybody could let me get any hands on / or observe anything on a shoot. I'm downtown west/south loop. No pressure, just wanted to hear some thoughts while I actually see this piece of equipment in person I've been dreaming about but finally pulled the trigger for...

Welcome - perhaps we can have a Chicago RED users group - won't have mine until April.
 
I'm planning on having a get together with plenty of hands on, and take home footage. How does early March sound? Weekday?
 
Anyone know of a good source for RED adjustments/fine tuning. I'm getting a Birger mount and don't trust myself to swap it out/set it up correctly.
 
Hello to all,

I'll be flying tomorrow to Chicago and staying near Kalamazoo,MI for about a week with one of our Red doing some filming and presenting the camera to film students over there.

So if some of the Red community in the area want to go for a drink feel free to PM me.

I have a small job offer for a owner to a RED and is also a cameraman. In the Chicago area.

One days shoot and a very simple shoot. One very small object against a green screen.
