Atlanta get-together?

Atlanta get-together?

Anybody in the Atlanta area up for getting together over coffee or a beer sometime? I think there's a lot to be gained if we network with each other.

There will be times that we might:

need each other for back-up equipment
need a 2nd camera with operator or tech
actually refer each other because one of us is already booked
rent each other's accessories and lenses

and perhaps most important of all, use each other as a database that can swing us up the learning curve that much quicker.

I think getting together in the next month or so would be great, because once they do arrive, we're going to be pretty busy.

Anyone interested?

I'm in NC...it is looking like March delivery for mine... so maybe also a SE group - GA, SC, NC and N. FL? Any interest?

RED… March?
16 Canon FD lenses 7.5mm-600mm
Panasonic HPX500 & HVX200
Red Rock M2 - Canon FD and EOS
Varicam - until it sold last week

Count me in, Jim. My RED is due to arrive end of December and I'll have a full complement of glass and support gear.

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo

I just finished an action film, this summer, called "Intimate Game". I'm avaliable to help out if you need it.

Hi,

My name is Nook Kim, and I've just moved to Atlanta.
As my camera #407 is supposed to be out fairly soon, I am looking for projects
to get my camera rolling. If anyone is interested in working with me, please
PM me with your information.

Please refer to my online Demo-reel/resume at www.nookkim.com

RED post production questions

RED post production questions

Glad to see we have some interest in the RED camera here in Atlanta - and from some great DPs!

I'm a film/TV editor working here in Atlanta with other feature film and TV editors - we're interested in seeing how we can support films that are shooting on RED and figuring out the most effective workflow for the media (both on Avid and FCP).

Does anybody have some footage from the RED camera they'd be willing to share that we can test out?

What would be even better is if I could be on set for a shoot and get to see the media handling process from start to finish. If anybody could do that it would be huge.

Thanks!
Craig.
