  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red in Asia

Not sure how Asia would handle this but here in Germany it is a very different story.

Guess who will use the 1st ASIAN RED one to make some " RED Footage " from ASIA to the West ?

In ASIA, Japan , Korea and AUS are already adopt DTV, and CHINA + Hong Kong will have HD DTV broadcasting in end of this year 2007


Of course that 2008 will be the big days for CHINA + Hong Kong for O Games im just HD ?

or 4K to anything ?

Planning to place an order these days, from Indonesia. My concern is exactly what will happen if it brakes down. Anyway I was advised that if I place my order now I' ll get the camera spring 2008, so until then who knows...

just like our Arri cameras, Ultra primes, Cooke S4, Optimo zoom, etc. our RED #675 coming Jan 2008 (I hope) will shuttle between the Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, etc.

Red 4K already in Asia. Ready to film since Feb 2008.

Our complete Red camera package finally ARRIVED Manila in Feb 2008. We have successfully filmed 4K images for TV commercials. 4K post production is in place and we have done full post for several TV spots. We welcome visits from film makers and anyone interested in Red 4K UHD. Call and visit us in Manila, or lets meet up at HK Film Mart or Broadcast Asia in Singapore. We regularly fly equipment for filming or rental jobs anywhere in Southeast Asia.

Well, it's nice to know there are several cameras nearby. I've searched high and low through all threads and posts and haven't found a single RED besides mine in or on order in Taiwan, though. Could I be the first for Formosa? On top of that I'm actually a Canadian, of German descent. One world - Red One!

CV: I'm a bare-bones Indy dreamer, planning to make features based upon my imagination and I hope to make Red proud. If anyone out there is passing through Taipei or shooting here and runs into trouble, give me a shout.
Once I have my camera, of course, I can be of more help, ;>)but I would like to meet anyone seriously interested in docs or dramas to have a cup of joe.
