  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED in Arizona

One of the latest steps in post-production to do color grading & correction (amongst other things). You can send your FCP timeline straight to Color. However, Color has a max of 2K at the moment.
 
What's the latest??? Is there a meeting?
 
Yes! The next meeting will be May 31st at 7pm at the UFCW Building, 2401 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix. We have some exciting news about workflow and the very distinct possibility of getting a Scratch system and the Sony's 4k projector for the RED party. Before the meeting I will contact each person in the group to talk about what information they gathered at NAB and other matters concerning the camera.

UFCW would be a great place to meet. Glad to hear you still have access to it. Someone please take notes for me, I'll be out of town on a project that part of the week.

Shoot, I'm out on the 31st. My wife's out of town for three days and i'm on daddy-duty for a two year old and a three month old. Pray for me. :)
 
Hi, I have not looked in this section of the board in a long time. I'm located in Phoenix and awaiting a reservation in the first 100. Are you all planning something interesting in the area? I'm not a professional shooter, and have reservations about renting (unless perhaps I go along with the camera), so I am not sure where I could fit in. The reason for my interest in the camera is for my own personal projects, and is not in the realm of typical use. I do have an interest in possibly getting involved in the production of cinema or other broadcast projects.

Everyone, It looks like we're going to have to postpone the meeting tonight. It seems like we all are working on projects,...which is a good thing! We will reschedule for a time after Jim annouces the shipping dates.

Most likely the first or second week in August. I would like to get closer to the release date before we meet again. It seems like things are changing daily with the camera, which is great. I will keep you and the rest of the group informed regarding the next meeting. Exciting times ahead!

Hope your having fun with your new Red. As you jknow we will be getting ours this Friday. Let's get the group together next week to let them see what they are waiting for. I also want to discuss the event timing and footage we will be showing.

Great to hear there is already two REDS in Phoenix- congrats to Rick & Matt for getting on the wagon early!

Next meeting couldn't come quick enough- let's see these cameras in action.
