  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red hangs on "Initializing" screen when connected to Movi Pro

My Scarlet-W and Raven, when connected to my Movi Pro for control, won't boot past the "Initializing" screen. To get the cameras online, I disconnect the control cable, wait for boot, then reconnect. This is a pretty irritating bug that is especially problematic for remote mounting and drone work, but still a headache handheld or on Ready Rig. It was introduced, in my experience, with Red's version 7 firmware. It is still present on 7.0.1 and Freefly's 1.4 BETA firmware.

I spoked with folks at both companies and both blame the other. Red says it'll take a "hardware update" by Freefly.. but it worked fine on previous firmware. Arg! So frustrating.

Any fixes out there?
 
Have you found any solutions to this? Having the same error with a DSMC2 Gemini and Movi Pro.
