So, It would seem to me that the red handle can be used with the ET 15mm top mounts. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, It seems that there is a lack of a simple handle that mounts to the top mounts (Like the Red Handle) that is flat on top, and has 3/8-16 holes taped into it. Does one exist? Not interested in sim video's, looking for something simpler.

What is the Red Handle made out of ? Is the big rounded checkered handgrip rubber or aluminum? If it is aluminum, can I mill it flat and tap holes into it? Or do I have to make my own handle?

Thanks,

Nick "trying to get alll my AKS squared away" Gardner

You cannot machine the Red top handle. Element Technica will soon have a "cheese stick" which is a top handle rod that is filled with threaded holes.

Hi thanks Mitch,

Yeah if ET's solution is that long stick thing that there is a picture of on Finner knows best web site, I guess I'll have to make my own. That one ain't doin it for me.

Thanks again,

Nick

Yes Red's handle can work with Et's top mounts..you can view pic below to see.

Nick you can unscrew the rubber grip part of Red's handle. Maybe you could make your own thing that screws into the existing piece of reds handle.. although that might be kind of lame.. i dunno. just sayin..

Hi Nick

ET's cheese stick really rocks. I will be doing a video for the entire Topside Cheese Plate and 15mm Top Mount and EVF mount and EVF extension arm tomorrow (as long as it is not raining) and it should be up on www.finnerknowsbest.com sometime next week.

The cheese stick is very functional and a great choice. I have not seen or used a better handle option.

When does the ET cheese stick become available?

Does it seem a good option to use it for hand-held work etc? It doesn't have a grip like a regular top handle, for comfort and ease of use... Or you have to mount the RED top handle on top of the stick...

Thanks!

PS Also, what is the estimative price?
