Hi Michael,

The Gunner is a really compact rig where the camera sits next to your head and you set an EVF out front. I mostly work off of the 5' display because I mostly shoot on sticks and sliders. I pop the camera on to a shoulder rig from time to time, but with the camera right next to your head you can't easily see the screen they way I have it set up. I think EVFs are great for shoulder rigs, but since I'm not on the shoulder a lot, I use a rig that allows me to awkwardly peak up at the screen instead. For a situation where you are going to be on shoulder most of the time, I think the gunner would be a better fit, keeping the weight right on your shoulder. It's a cool little setup and really compact. I think a lot of people use it to replicate the form factor of an ENG setup.
