Filage?

[martin bendersky]

you don't know the meaning of filage? I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina... i don't know the word in english but i think it's strobe... filage it's a problem of movment, vertical lines, electronic and rolling shutter, digital cameras, etc.

[Jay Gannon]

I think Jello is the word your looking for. Never heard of filage in Spanish or English.

[martin bendersky]

it's motion blur.

[D Fuller]

If it's motion blur you want to reduce, simply increase the shutter speed.

[martin bendersky]

yes, but is not enough. I'm working in a feture film shoot, of course in red, that will be blow up into film.

Pre-record all audio then time stretch it to 200%.
Have your actors lip sync to the half speed audio and have them pace their actions at half speed. Shoot at 12fps at 1/100 shutter. Now you have cut all jello in half.
