  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED - examples of natural, "filmic" color?

Phillip. I'm not questioning your creative choices, just your methods and the tools you use. Please consider using Resolve Lite. It's free and it's infinitely more creative. And while we're on the subject, there wasn't anything "natural" about the colors in the "boat" piece and MBL is anything, but subtle. And finally, while using MBL, you're completely ignoring the whole notion of using the power of grading RAW EPIC images. While it is perfectly understandable and acceptable with F3 or DSLR-type images, with EPIC it's quite different. Hence, my Resolve Lite suggestion...
I agree with Jake here. A plug-in like Magic Bullet is not a substitute for an actual color-correction system like Resolve, even Resolve Lite. You're always, always going to need the flexibility of selective tweaks and very subtle (or even very heavy) adjustment, which is not going to be possible in Magic Bullet.

Resolve plus an experienced colorist is hands-down the best solution for somebody on a limited budget, from my point of view.
