Four to five months ago I placed a down payment on a Red EVF. I ordered my red body long before that. I was told that I would not be able to get my EVF until I got my camera. I was however allowed to place a down payment on a red EVF in the same way I was able to on a camera. My question is, did my placing a down payment on an EVF get me anywhere closer to getting my EVF or will I be no closer than someone who did not place a down payment?

Thanks in advance.

Evin, please verify your comment that's it's by camera number. I hope you're correct, but I understood that it was by camera shipment date, same as for the 50-150.

Tail Ends

Evin, with Jannard just announcing that those with early numbers (1-500) who don't pay in a month loose their place, are you saying that if they pay now they retain their spot for other accessories we're all waiting for such as EVF's and 50-150's? If so, what's the point in being timely with Red if all you get is to say in line longer. Tell the Boss that this is a crappy policy; not one in keeping with the image Red is trying to build for itself.

My understanding is that it is based on when you took delivery of your camera. So if someone with camera 50 only pays now, they won't get backordered stuff until after 1975 gets there's (if they paid last week.)
