RED Europe at Pinewood

Here's how the story goes;
Few weeks ago, Athens, Greece, Friday morning, mid-production and the EVF cable goes haywire... few minutes later same for my last RED Raid cable so what do we do?
Well for the rest of the day we used CF cards and a 10ft cable for the EVF but that was not the best solution.
So in a flash of genius (doesn't happen very often) I remember there's some place in the UK where RED has a few clever people who will know what to do...
Within a few hours a FedEx shipment is on my way with replacements that arrived the next business day and all the wait was for a longer cup of coffee Monday morning until the courier arrived and we were back up and shooting!

Now that shoot's over and another starts Monday but the battery plate on my RED Drive Cradle has had one bump too many and one of the RED Raids was in dire need of a spa treatment so in the downtime I had them both shipped out to Pinewood Studios and the guys at RED Europe had everything repaired and out of the door yesterday so the timing couldn't be better!

This is just to say thanks to Alan, Brady and Ivan for taking care of everything!
Once again RED has shown the world how support and customer care should be done,

Alan Piper and the other Red Europe guys have 'always' come through for me 100%... It has a made a real difference to day to day shooting in Europe knowing they are there.

The point is, not many people know there's a Red Europe and definitely more could benefit from doing business with them.
Think of all the hassle you have to go through to import a cable shipped from the US instead of just around the corner from the UK. No customs, no nothing!
Thanks RED for setting a foothold in Europe, you've made my life easier
