This is one of my favorite cinema cameras that I’ve ever owned. As a professional Director and Cinematographer, I have used this camera on network television shows, commercials, and music videos. This Epic kit was only used on my projects, has been cared for meticulously, and was never rented out.
This is a ready-to-shoot kit that can handle a wide variety of projects. With a 512gb SSD Turbo REDmag card and 240GB SSD REDmag, you will be able to capture hours of footage without offloading, which allows you to have stamina on long production days. Also, with 13 REDvolt batteries, you will be able to get through even the longest production days with flexible power options. This camera has only 301 hours of usage as of this posting, and is in mint condition.
The Epic is especially great at capturing ultra high quality slow motion, high-resolution, and filmic images and video. REDCode RAW is a great format that allows you to have tons of control over your image, and allows for extremely accurate exposure. The Epic can be set up to be light enough to be used on the most popular gimbals like the Ronin and Movi, and can also be built up to support all the standard accessories you need for scripted productions. Of all the options in the current RED lineup, this is one of the few cameras that can capture 14 megapixel 5K images at up to 96 fps.
This Epic just had it’s internal timecode battery replaced and had a routine cleaning performed at RED HQ in Irvine. It is in tip-top shape, and is ready to bring your productions to the next level.
RED offers a transfer-of-ownership program that will guarantee the quality of a used camera, provides a 90-day warranty, and gives the new owner access to software and firmware updates.
