Red 18-50 T/3.0 Lens PL Mount - $2,500
The Red f/2.8 lens from RED Digital Cinema is considered a quality, inexpensive alternative to primes or ENG lenses. Giving the photographer a shallow depth of field and sharpness, but also with a zoom facility, the Red lens gives very crisp and clear images. The focal length range of the Red lens is 18 mm - 50 mm, with a T stop range of T3 - T22. The 18 mm - 50 mm f/2.8 lens has a maximum aperture of f/2.8, which is an indication of the shutter speed. With a close focus from lens front of 1.7 inches and a length from front of lens to image plane of 6.2 inches, the Red f/2.8 lens has a minimum marked object distance of 8 inches. The maximum format covered by the Red lens is 35 mm. The length from the front of lens to the lens mount is 4.1 inches and the front diameter of the 18 mm - 50 mm f/2.8 lens is 4.5 inches. The Red f/2.8 lens weighs in at 2.3 lbs.
