I'm glad to report my new camera is awesome !
Here's some footage...

Every winter we are commissioned by car manufactures to go to Scandinavia to film either marketing events or winter testing. Quite often the conditions are around -25 degrees and its always a slight concern when you buy new kit as to wether it can handle these temperatures.
So this year my new RED Epic W arrived just in time for a trip to Scandinavia. However this year the temps dropped to -38 which was absolutely brutal on the crew and our kit. This was -13 cooler then previous trips! so we were heading into the unknown even with tried a tested equipment from previous years.
The camera was ace! There was a delay with the LCD screen which was manageable though (more manageable than the screen on my previously trusted weather proof Canon 1DC). Touching the camera body without gloves was a bit harsh...I won't be doing that again! Should have ticked the carbon box ! I even had to shoot most of it handheld because my tripod head seized!
Anyway I'm loving the camera and how it has settled so easily into my work environment.
So glad I didn't have to get involved with any cables in these temperatures unlink my sound man !
