Red Epic-W - wireless preview on iOS devices

Can anyone advise on an inexpensive way to achieve a half decent wireless preview image on an ipad? I'm looking into the Teradek Clip, which looks like it might be perfect, but I would appreciate some help from anyone with experience in this area, specifically with iOS devices.

Which clip are you referring to?

It was the original clip, I think they have released some newer versions it was a while ago.

I just use a nirus pro to my laptop now which has Been solid for a year or so. I'm not sure of anything else but teradeck that allows iOS viewing

have been using a cheap hdmi transmitter - nirus for my personal kit

I've worked with their Wireless to iPad solutions a while back, and the quality was so bad, plus there's a bit of a delay. Maybe they made HUGE progressions with the clip, but doubtful. You def'n can't pull focus from it

Conclusion:The Service Department forwarded the customer's concern regarding the possibility of the Clip unit causing camera (electrical) damage during normal usage.
This is the first known/reported concern regarding such possibility/liability of any Teradek product.

There are theoretical possibilities:

The camera's 5 Volt output power could feedback thru our device circuitry causing camera damage.

The other possibility is that the Ground (GND) circuitry of our unit is broken/disrupted causing the HDMI cable to become the return GND path, which could (possibly) damage the camera circuitry.

i managed to get the reseller to pay the fee from red for the repair and refund the money for the clip in full

but it was a real pain the ass

The Clip is no longer manufactured. I double checked with the team here about Clip causing damage to a camera's HDMI port and the conclusion was that it was...inconclusive. We couldn't prove the product actually caused the damage.

We've been doing iPad monitoring for 5+ years now - its come a long way. It wont replace a Bolt, but at just 4 frames of latency its a really nice tool to have. With TeraView, you can run 4 camera feeds at once on the iPad, all with the same latency.
