Of course you get it on the external surfaces when you breathe on the cold glass when you take it inside where there are a lot of people breathing. Much like needing window defrost in the cold car. I mean the internal condensation when you take the lens out on a cold morning from a relatively humid warm overnight storage. That is the one difficult to clear... I've dealt with it many times...

Anybody who has ever shot in the south knows about cold to warm. Lenses been in your nice cold hotel room all night, then you take them out into the swampy southern hot. Spend the next 30 mins with the lens case open sitting in the sun waiting for them to dry out ;-)
