RED Epic settings for Shot on RED Film Festival

I'm shooting a film tomorrow for the RED film festival and just realised the details for the shooting.

"4K (4096x2160) @ 24fps in either 16 bit TIFFs or 10bit DPX w/ audio WAV file included Stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 mixed into single file at 24fps as well (frame length should match between image sequence and audio file) - please note graded color space and gamma (ie. REC709/Gamma 2.2 or P3/Gamma 2.6)"

My question is, can I shoot in 5k n downscale to 4k? Also it says 24fps does that mean the 23.98 option or actual timebase of 24?

Yes, otherwise you'd have to shoot in DPX. Those are your ouput settings, Josh. Shoot it any way you want. Also, I wouldn't feel restricted to that aspect ratio, shoot scope if ya want and just output a 4096x2160 with black bars.
