Hey folks,

A quick question with regard to workflow.

Scenario:
RED Epic footage 5K/4K/2K mix.
Edit in Premiere Pro
Grading in Resolve

What is the recommend workflow? How does the edit get from Premiere Pro to Resolve (via XML export)? Any guidance as to whether the edit should be done in 2K or 4K in Premiere?

Thanks,
Jith.

Jith,
this is my workflow.

1. import all footage RED in Davinci , put all files in new timeline and if you want apply a lut , go to delivery and in easy setup set final cut pro xml round-trip and render in folder ( prores or dnxhd is best ) .
2. open premiere and import xml
3. edit your footage when finish export entire movie with time code stamp ( this movie is your reference movie ), and export AAF or XML
4. Go in in your project in Davinci and import in new bin reference movie and select this for reference.
5. Import in edit menu new xml and and do not select automatic set project, and iimport source clip and push ok;)
6. select new time line and right clic on mouse and set reference movie ,doing so when you go to play on the time line you can check the cuts that correspond to your original editing.

good luck ;)

this is for understand refence movie.
